We spent Jack's actual birthday as a fairly normal day. We had to work and jack went to "school". Matt got a small piece of cake and a Happy Birthday balloon on his way home and Jack enjoyed both of them. We had quite a few calls from the grandparents and friends, all singing and wish Jack a happy birthday. He def. enjoyed the singing.
It was a bitter sweet day for me actually. I am so happy to have Jack in my life, especially after everything that we went through to have him finally join our family. It just feels like everything is happening so fast now...its been a year?? 
Then I think about how much fun we have with Jack, he brings us such joy on a daily basis that we couldn't imagine it any other way. We are looking forward to the coming year and his personality growing even more. Grandma and Grandpa Rogers came down for Thanksgiving and other than myself catching some bad stomach virus, we had a really good visit. Jack loves spending time with grandpa and grandma. They also had gotten him an electric car for his birthday which we let him open while they were here. He loves riding around in it too and is getting the hang of driving it himself. Its been too cold and rainy to take it outside yet but hopefully we will be able to walk around the neighborhood this weekend.
Speaking of this weekend....Jack's party is on Saturday and we can't wait. It will be a lot of fun to celebrate with our friends and family. I also can't wait to get a cake in front of Jack...I am sure he will be a mess after wards. Don't worry, we will take a lot of pics and video. Thank you also to all of you that have already sent gifts...Jack has enjoyed everything so far!
Jack's 12 month appt is today where he will get weighed, measured and thoroughly checked over. If he gets a good bill of health then he will also get his 12 month shots. I hate the shots but hopefully they won't be too bad this time around. I will update the site with his stats once we get back.
