SOLD!!

YAY for us! We have signed a contract on the house! Closing is set for July 16th but we are planning on physically moving the weekend before (11th and 12th). We still have a few things to get through before we are home free (pun intended). The pest inspection is today, home inspection is Sunday and the appraisal is yet to be scheduled. We will feel better once the home inspection is done and we get through repair negotiations. I don't think there will be anything major that pops up on the inspection but you never know how these buyers will react to anything that pops up so we are just keeping our fingers crossed.

Since we had that signed contract in our hands, Matt has been hitting the pavement and I have been scouring the net to find us a rental in VA. All with not much luck. Finding a place in a hurry when you don't really know the area and with 4 animals, is definitely not easy. Luckily Matt knew someone at his new station that was needing to rent his place out. The rent was ideal but the location was not the best. It's in Elizabeth City, NC (you may remember me talk about this city before) which is about a 45min commute to Chesapeake, VA. In the end though, the pros far outweighed the cons and we decided to rent the place. We signed a 6 month lease so we will have time to get to know the area and decide if we want to buy another house or not. This also gives us time to save some money for a down payment on a new house. I think it will all work out in the end. We are just excited to be together again.
