Busy Weekend

So after my lonely post friday night, the weekend got much much better.  Saturday we headed to the NC Potato festival.  It is held here in Elizabeth City every year and brings quite a bit of people from around the area.  There are vendors selling stuff, lots of fattening food, bounce houses, classic cars and of course, free french fries.  We met up with friends and Jack had a great time bouncing.  It was pretty hot so we didn't stay all day.  Here are a few pics...

Since we were all so hot, we decided to take a trip to the indoor pool at our YMCA.  I had my neighbor and her kids with me so it was a little bit easier to hold Anna and watch Jack.  Anna LOVED the pool, she just laughed and kicked her legs the entire time.  Jack did really well too once he got the hang of it.   We are going to start swim classes for him in June so hopefully he will be able to swim soon.  Here is a pic of Anna in her cute swim suit

On Sunday, we decided to take a trip to the Coast Guard beach.   We had a great time and Jack did well again in the water.  I didn't get any pictures because it was hard to watch Anna and Jack let alone take some pics at the same time.  Anna ate a little sand but has survived.  hahaha.  We ended the day with some baked ziti with my great neighbors.  All in all, we had a fantastic weekend.  It is so nice to finally have neighbors that we like to hang out with.
